Appreciate Professor Hamon
I've attended South University for over a year. In this time, I only have come across a couple of professors that I think geniuely care about the students and our learning experiences. Professor Hamon is among that list. I appreciate what I've learned in this class. Thank you Professor Hamon!!!

The Big 2
I can't believe my son is turning 2 on December 21st. It has gone so fast. I'm honored to be his mom and watch him grow. He is the light of my life. He has changed my life in so many ways and made me see things in a different perspective. Now even at this age, the holidays are so special. I'm starting traditions that he will remember for the rest of his life.

Daytime classes
Next semester, I will be back to attending night classes. Daytime classes are not for me. It seems like its a much younger crowd. I've been going to South University for a year. I adjusted to the people that attended night classes. They were friendly and mature. I'm ready to get back to night classes. Two weeks in counting! Whoa!

Adapting
When I first started this class, having assignments also due outside of actual class time was different for me. I felt like this was an online class. But after attending several classes, I could see that it was more of a
hands on approach to learning. You do the work outside of class and then review your work with Professor Hamon. Now approaching the end of this class, it actually worked out better for me.

Google Docs
My Doc 2 paper was about the benefit of Google Docs. Another learned skill from this class that I will utilize from now on. My favorite feature is that it automically saves your work, you don't have to do it. Which I always forget to do on other programs. Mental breakdowns begin..then I have to re-do the whole paper.

The Language of Argument
I guess starting this class, the basis was to learn how to argue your views. After time progressed, I can see that you can argue your views but you have to have substantial evidence to support it. It helps to have an expert to refer to in any circumstance. As well as, the more knowledgable you are on the subject also helps. You have to be able to stand on solid ground ( have evidence).

Document 3 continued.....
I think the information that I'm collecting regarding my topic will prove great points and help with my overall argument. There's lots of information persuading as such. My paper is coming together nicely. I picked a very controversial topic.

Document 3-Part II
I picked a subject that I'm knowledgeable on. I thought it would be easier to speak on a topic that I have a better grasp of. The death penalty has been a topic of controversy for decades. Not only are there to different arguements, for or against, but there is different aspects. Whether its spiritual or physical stand point, research on the topic may turn what a reader thinks upside down.

The Death Penalty
My Document 3 assignment will be on the question- "Should the State of Florida repeal the death penalty?" Time and time again, the abolishers will argue why Florida should get rid of it..how inhumane it is...on and on! I will be arguing this topic from the other side. The State of Florida should most definetly keep it in place. Those that opose it, obviously never lost a loved one to a horrific crime. This hit home when a close friend of mine lost her dad because two men decided to rob him, beat him to death, and leave him for dead. I'm watching her and her family leave thruthis nightmare. Why shouldn't his assaliants have to face death?

Obama- Now get back to work!
I thought about the campaign and the fact that Obama has to have stopped concentrated so much on the current issues to get re-elected. Now that its over, he can get back to work. Not to mention, the billion of dollars that were wasted in ads. Honestly, as a voter did it really sway your views when you saw that annoying commercial or got another ad in your mailbox? I know it did not affect who I was voting for. That money should have been put to better use.

The Election
I did not attempt to vote early because I kept hearing that the lines were terrible. I decided to go tomorrow, and hopefully everyone has voted. The lines will be decent and I will cast my vote. I was still on the fence about who to vote for and was not going to vote at all, but after re-thinking the issues, I will! I can't wait till its over though, so we stop seeing the TV ads, the waste of campaign mail and all the signs on the side of the road.

Cloud services
As I use the internet daily, I never thought of it as cloud services. Which obviously the name fits it exactly. Everything that we do online exist in the clouds. Until English Comp III, I did not encounter Google Docs. As a student, you become accustomed to Microsoft Windows in other classes. Google Docs saves the hassle of having to email or upload your document. There are no worries for late work or professors not having access to your work. I like this much better, but I'm still getting accumulated to it.

Hurricane Sandy
As Hurricane Sandy made her way through Florida, we were very blessed that "she" did not leave a aftermath. I logged on to South University's website to check some class information and noticed that classes in Virginia were cancelled today. I'm praying for those that are about to meet this hurricane and that she takes it easy in the upcoming days. I hope that everyone stays safe and life will resume as normal.

Life's demands II
Currently, I am struggling with the responsibility of being a full time student, full time employee and a mom. Its hard to juggle all of the them as well as life's unexpected crisis. I'm grateful to have a wonderful support system that consist of family and friends. But even then, its hard. I like to talk to others that are going through the same type of circumstance to get their feedback and to see how they handle things. I think that insight from other sources always helps. I think the school aspect is the most demanding. I can't wait to complete the program. It seems like an eternity away!
Life's demands
I would like to write my next blog post about whats affecting me currently and what is on my mind. Actually this topic, I feel as though this could always be a blog post.

Peer review
Peer evaluation process was productive. I think its always a good idea to have someone proof read your work prior to submitting it. The proofreaders see mistakes that you would have missed or improvements that would beneficial to the paper. I was able to change things around a little after my review. Its still a work in progress.

Value everyone's opinion
After talking to my father tonight about the political campaign and who he thinks our next president will be, its interesting to see how different our views are. My father is a republican and will be voting for Romney in this election. He feels that Romney will lead the country where it needs to go, and put us on the right path. As I explained to my father that I am still undecided. The information that they put out for the public is ridculous and unnessary. Time and money wasted either way you look at it.

Presidential debate
In my opinion, last night's debate was a free for all. It was public speaking at its worst. Obama had substantial evidence regarding issues and was able to prove why he made those choices. Romney on the other hand, could not give plans regarding policies he will take if he is elected. In that circumstance, voters should understand that Romney is not a suitable or responsible candidate. It was more of an attack on one another, then a debate.

Political nonsense
Its interesting how the views of the political parties will change once they know the majority will not vote for them considering their views on specific subjects. After looking over news articles, websites, and other sources, you can see how the variables have changed since the beginning. When words are spoke on such a public basis, its hard to retract them. The politicians have to try to clean up the mess. Sometimes then its too late!

The Apple of my Eye
I am the mother of a beautiful , 2 year old boy named Trenton. He is the love of my life. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world because God gave me him. He shows me how special life is and I'm honored to be his mom and watch him grow.

Presidential Election Part II
Part II of the debate will air tomorrow night. This time vice president, Biden and Romney's vice president candidate, will take the floor and debate the issues. I'm sure their views copy that of Obama or Romney. It will be interesting to see who is stronger in the debate.

Presidential election
President Obama should remain in office for another 4 years. I think he is a far better choice then Romney. Romney does not clarify his plans and procedures in order to take proper actions in "fixing" America (so to speak). Obama has to clean up 8 years of the bad choices that Bush made, its going to take more then 4 years to even break through those barriers.
